Get ready for Halloween!

Published by hawkinsm at 11:36 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Halloween is just a few days a way, and thankfully on a Friday this year! Honolulu is filled with different events, from costume parties to trick or treating for children. Today I will focus on a few local children’s activities.

Ala Moana Shopping Center will have it’s annual trick-or-treating. You can find a list of stores that will be handing out candy here: http://www.alamoanacenter.com/pdf/Halloween_2008.pdf
This will be a safe event with more than enough treats for all the keiki. Try to get to the center early, before 5pm, and expect big crowds.

The Bishop Museum will be holding it’s annual Treat Street on Friday night starting at 5pm. The event is free, and there will be fun contests and activities. Arrive early to get a good parking spot! The crowds at free Bishop events tend to be large, and the parking lot is small. For more information check here: http://www.bishopmuseum.org/special/treatstreet2008.htm

I hope you have your costumes ready and your goody bag by the door! Check back here tomorrow for a list of adult friendly Halloween activities.
